ACE - System Failure caused major service disruption
March 21, 2017

Dear Valued Client,

As of 4:09 EST on March 20, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) communicated to the trade community that they encountered some issues with the ACE system which may have resulted in your drivers experiencing some service delays last evening. CBP indicates that their issues have now been resolved, and they have resumed regular operations.

CBP message: The intermittent ACE Portal and EDI processing issues, Monday, 3/20/17, as announced in CSMS# 17-000152, were due to network issues and have now been RESOLVED.

This CBP downtime caused a backlog of entries to be processed and drivers experienced service delays for several hours from late afternoon until midnight last night. Livingston’s Driver Contact Center shared all information we had received from CBP with carriers who were checking on the status of their shipment.

We’d like to assure you that we are doing everything we can to minimize any impact CBP’s system outage may have on your business.
