CBP network issues Aug 2 – causing shipment delays
August 2, 2017,

Dear Valued Client,
As of early this morning, August 2, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) informed the trade community that they are experiencing a system outage. This in turn is preventing Livingston from processing your shipments in a timely manner. CBP is investigating to determine the root cause and resolution of the issue.

CBP Message: CSMS# 17-000441 ̶ ACE System Status System status as of 8/2/17, 1530 EDT ACE downtime procedures remain in effect. CBP will issue the next ACE status update no later than 8/2/17 at 1730 EDT.

This CBP downtime is causing a backlog of entries to be processed and drivers to experience service delays for several hours. Livingston’s Driver Contact Center is sharing all information we have received from CBP with carriers who are checking on the status of their shipment.

We’d like to assure you that Livingston is doing everything we can to minimize any impact CBP’s system outage may have on your business. We’re also committed to communicating proactively with you and will provide an update when more information is available.
